Lily Klentz
Let’s welcome our neighbour, Lily Klentz.
Hi, Lily! Tell us a bit about yourself.
Howdy neighbours!
My name is Lily. I’m a 21-year-old blue-collar girl from the valley, and I’m also a Christian. I value spending time in nature, being with my family, and enjoying life with my boyfriend and my cat. I’m passionate about encouraging the next generation of women to live confidently, pursue what they love, and take control of their lives while staying grounded in their faith.
I also believe it’s important to be mindful of how we use technology. While artificial intelligence has its benefits, it also has environmental impacts — such as high water and energy consumption — that deserve more awareness and thoughtful discussion.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would choose the United States — specifically, California. I’ve never left Canada, but after seeing photos from my parents’ trip, I’m drawn to the landscapes, wildlife, and coastal scenery. Experiencing something so different from home is what makes travel exciting to me.
If you could start a whole new career path, what would you be?
I’ve worked in a variety of roles, including cashier, deli worker, butcher, and carpenter. If I were to pursue a new career path, I would likely explore the field of cosmetology — particularly nail artistry. It’s something I already enjoy, and turning that passion into a profession would be incredibly fulfilling.
What sound do you hate?
One sound I strongly dislike is grinding metal. It’s like nails on a chalkboard to me.
If you had to become a breakfast cereal, which one would you choose and why?
I would choose Cinnamon Toast Crunch—it’s easily my favourite.
If Hollywood made a movie based on your life, who would you like to see play you in the film?
I would choose Mia Goth to portray me. I admire her work and her versatility as an actress, especially in the horror genre.
What fashion trend would you most like to see return? Why?
I would love to see bell-bottom jeans make a full comeback. I find them flattering, stylish, and easy to incorporate into different looks.
Are you a cat or a dog person? Why?
I’ve recently become a cat owner, and it’s completely changed my perspective. While I still love dogs, my cat has made me realize how wonderful and affectionate they can be — so I’d say I’m proudly a “cat person” now.
If you had a yacht, what name would you choose for it?
I would name it “The Big Yachty”— because if I’m going to dream big, I might as well have fun with it.
What decade do you wish you had experienced? Why?
I would choose the 1970s. The fashion, music, and stories from that era make it seem like a vibrant and memorable time to live through.
What do you miss the most about being a kid?
What I miss most is the simplicity of life — spending time with my siblings, being with my family every day, and not having the responsibilities that come with adulthood. Those moments are something I truly cherish.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. God bless.
